UFO/UAV sighting in the dark..................

So, I get to work at the farm, usual time(oh dark 30) and making my first round to check stuff out. Stop to light a smoke and I hear what sounds like a drone. Sure enough pinpoint the sound and there's running lights. Altitude is about 350 - 400 ft. From the sound and the running lights, I figure it's gotta be a fairly large UAV and I would be willing to bet it has night vision and/or infrared cameras. From the flight pattern I would say it was on a programmed course. I gotta find out who it belongs to...........I want to see it up close.

I'd consider asking around or look for local facebook groups hahaha.

Must be pretty nice to be using NV. Might try an IR sensitive camera or something without the IR filter to see if you can see light coming from it. That would be able to confirm the NV part. Might also look for exemptions in your area. If they are part 107 they'd have to file exemption to do a night op.

Our local university(Mississippi State) has a pretty intensive UAV program as does local wildlife/forestry groups. This thing was doing a zig-zag pattern with about a 15 second hold at the end of each zig or zag...........
