Just ordered the Tyro 79 kit from banggood, $79 and you get everything you need to build a 3" racing drone:

In the market for a 3 incher? The Tyro 99 got good reviews so I'm gonna try the 79.

Tyro 79 build finished! I had it slapped together in an hour or so lol, just solder the motors and plug everything in, no problem. Haven't flown it yet; waiting in batteries but I can't wait to try this little beast, looks like it's gonna be very fast 3"er!!
 
This thing sucks lol I've never seen such poor flight performance . Death roll punch outs, death roll rolls, death roll forward flight. Thinking about just installing a new flight control board to see if that fixes it.
 
So I haven't given up on the tyro79, I lowered the throttle to 85% in betaflight and installed a runcan swift micro camera.

The quad now flies without deathrolls and the video feed is very clear:

All in all I say this little beast is a blast!!
