Two New Edits

Thanks man! I practice as much as I can and I'm now feeling I'm getting past that first initial barrier and really starting to develop a style. It's a blast!

I'm not sure how to explain it but I am now starting to feel much more control and confidence in flying. I recently flew with a friend last week and that helps a lot. It's just getting more and more flying time in and practice that has helped me get over just a personal "barrier" in developing my flying style and confidence. Also, having a few crashes under your belt helps as well with not being so timid.

Cool. I'm hoping to get a LOT of practice soon. But up here in Canada I think I've had 3 or 4 decent days where I could fly outside since I got started in this hobby.

Yea winter is not nearly as bad as it is for you guys out here in Tennesse but we still had a cold winter and now we have a windy and rainy spring so the time is limited. But I check the weather everyday and sometimes get up really early to beat the wind and the rain to fly before work. What quad are you flying?

Trying to get out and fly at least 5 packs a day since the weather has been good to me. Here are two edits from the same day with one EPIC crash in the first one!

So you do crash.... ;)

I got some goggles and I found out how shaky, jerky I fly. I thought I was bad on a monitor.... Im thinking goggles will really help me develop smooth flying because the alternative will be puking. Wind has been a problem here in MN. So my flights have be low and slow. Trying to get out every day no matter what.

ZMR 250. Nothing special (yet) but I'm just as much into the build so it's nice and clean IMO. I'm seriously looking at the Voodoo frame for my next build. Didn't make my first flight util last Saturday, although I've been practicing inside for a while with toy stuf. With the help of YouTube and guys here, it actually seems to be set up quite nice. But I'm experienced enough in RC to know not to push it. I'm just learning in horizon mode, my first flight was in rate and it wasn't pretty. I'm no where near where you're at but I'm a fast learner

Yea the Voodoo looks really pretty. I'm probably going with a Nighthawk Pro or a ZMR for my next build. Trying to keep the build around $200. I remember when I first flew in rate mode and I literally said out loud "how the HELL do people fly like this!". But I will highly recommend moving to rate mode as soon as possible. If your end goal is to fly in rate then get there soon. You will have to unlearn nearly all your horizon mode flying skills when you do. Thank you for the complement too!
