Transmitters

So I currently own a Hubsan x4, I have also been told I am getting a jjrc H8C for xmas. Now I want to get a better transmitter for both than the stock one, as well as something I can use once I build my first quad. Any suggestions? Best bang for buck? Or do I need to spend a good amount to get a good transmitter?

Hi mate the hubsan can not use any transmitter other than what it comes with , as for a good one for a build well its up to you really and what you want it to do , spektrum/futuba /turnigy x9 are all good , x9 can use different protocol , they are all full range so will fly out of line of sight up to 2km approx you need min of 4 channels , the spektrum DX6i is cheap at the moment due to the new one out now so under a £100 , i have the dx6i and the dx9 i fly scale helis so my quads fly on the dx9 too , the dx6 is used as buddy box so i can teach my wife to fly
What you want to do is go to a model shop and ask to look at the transmitters once you hold one your know if its right for you by the feel , better transmitters have better gimbals my dx9 flys nicer than my dx6i but cost wise it a £80 dx6i and a £300 dx9 so its nicer plus the dx9 can have new firmware flashed to it from the horizon hobby site hope this helps

Afternoon gents.
I am pretty much in the same boat as High Alt, I have learned to fly on the Hubsans range of quads but now want to explore more options.
I am currently building a DJI 450 and require a decent TX that I could I use for this model and any others that are compatable with TX.
I often see advertised, PNP. Is this plug and play?
Would this make binding and programming the flight settings easyier ?
I have a Spec DX6i with no instructions and no idea how to set it up. Looking for something more user friendly.

Hi mate the spektrum is not hard to set up really for a quad just make new model as aero thats it done the rest is done by the FCB

I think I complicated the set up by adding the naza, I should of tried it without Naza wired up first.
I only ordered one 450 kit with naza lite and I got another one for free with the naza v2(Red FCU) set up.

I could bind the receiver with the TX but nothing happened, included a pic of the receiver.
This was nearly two months ago but due to work commitments I had to leave it. Keeps me awake at night thinking of it, lol.
I return home in a couple of weeks and I am determined to get it flying.image.jpgimage.jpg

I have been watching some set up vids on you tube, now when they connected the power it made a tune which exicied them and they said that's good. Now my set up also makes this noise which is good. After that I couldn't get it to do anything with the DX6i.

How do I arm it? Do I need to do somthing with the sticks in a certain pattern?

Hi mate if its the naza then both sticks down and left or both sticks down and right or both sticks down and towards each other or both sticks down and away from each other , the naza uses 4 patterns so use what your happy with all works the same ,once armed to un arm just leave throttle at zero it will auto disarm after a few seconds , as long as you didnt disable it in the set up screen of naza assist

Well that sounds promising, I didn't know or do any of that last time I was home. Yes it's a Naza FC.
I could not get anything to work on the naza assist. I downloaded it all and hen I connected to the USB it did naff all. Should I have had the battery unplugged when I connected the USB up?
Cheers Neil.
