Transmitter

So I have 3 drones and I'm starting to want to tune them myself. So I'm looking for a transmitter with the nobs to use for pid tuning. I've seen people have 3 on the front of there controller. Now I'm new to the the hobby and may want to move on to flying planes.
I have a devo 7 that has one nob and a dx6 that I like to fly with. I've looked at he dx8 and 9 but need some advice because it looks like they only have nob one too.

So my question is what's the best controller to buy as the last one I will need ?

Do I need one with more than one knob for pid tuning ?

If so can I just use my devo7 then change back to my dx6 ?

Someone to recommend a budget transmitter/receiver , I'm undecided about the distance in what should I get, so what model should I buy in the following ranges: up to 2 mile/ 3-5 miles/ up to 10. Thanks

If I was to get a new TX it would be this one. I think it has what you need. :)

Priced right.
I had a little look at that video it looks good and it's reasonably priced. Mite have to get one just to give it a go.

Do you know if I'm using a CC3D can I use all 9 channels ?

Ok so I don't know much but here's what I do know. For budget your looking at 2.4 ghz that's what most people use for moddles when starting out. If your flying fpv with something like fatsharks 433mhz the video is going to give out first. So if your wanting to go long range you need to start with your video and get that sorted first.

what distance a good 2,4ghz tx/rx gets? Recommend me one, I'm also thinking about the UHF systems( only to the future kk). The 5.8ghz fps system are separate for video transmission and I need two transmission systems to run the quad, or is it all in one system??
