TinyHawk II flight time issues?

Hi I’m new to quads but have been flying Helis for a while. I got the TinyHawk II BNF and seems like I get maybe about 2.5 min per charge on the 1s (and potentially a bit less on the 2s) battery that comes with it. Is this normal for these? Any recommendations for increasing flight time? How much does the VTX mw setting kill battery life? I had it on 200 for a bit but even on 25 seems about the same. Has anyone flown it with higher capacity batteries? What do you recommend if so?

Thank you!

Honestly this is in the right ballpark, I'll get anywhere from 3-5 min depending on the particular battery and flight. Really they are best in light to no wind situations otherwise burning a lot of power just fighting the wind. Personally picked up like 4 extra 2S lipos and use a parallel charge board to charge them all up together and just hope that when I land they are all roughly the same voltage (I check before hooking them to each other but if within like .2V of each other I just plug them into the parallel board and let them self balance for a minute or so then start charging)

Thanks! I’ve been mostly flying outside and it’s been a bit windy so that might explain it. I also stocked up on extra batteries, arriving in the next week or so, but wanted to make sure I’m not missing something that’s going wrong. Any battery recommendations besides the Emax ones that come with it?

Can't really say the ones I got as extras are any better but they are about on par with the emax ones so far at least. I picked up some 2S tattu ones. Actually just searched and they have some HV ones (could be charged up to 4.35V per cell if your charger supports doing that)

I have the regular non HV versions of these, even if not "overcharging" these they might give a bit more runtime though wouldn't expect it to be a huge difference unless over charging them to the HV voltage which might give a bit more punch and potentially more runtime (since more Wh and W per unit time is what we use up with more throttle :D)

Note this did require me to replace the battery input with a male xt-30 to match up with the battery female xt-30

Thanks! I’m mostly flying 1S still. Find it unruly on 2S. But got a bunch and able to get better flight times recently. Thank you!
