Think this Helicopter could be hacked and rebuilt?

So I have this helicopter I bought a year ago from someone. Never really has flown right. top prop wont turn, stripped inside.

Wanting to maybe make into a single prop?

Im wondering if someone has ever done something like this. Not even sure if I should be posting this on a quad forum ha.




 
You'd need some way to make the tail rotor act different if it is a gyro copter. I am no expert (nor am I competent xD) but if I remember right the tail rotor faces up for a gyrocopter and to the left for a helicopter.

Hi mate thats the Dh9116, Fixed pitch heli has single brushed motor and is just about powerful enough fly , the heli was over weight when it came out so never did very well , I still have 2 sat in boxes, Its is 4 channel but your not be able to use this for a quad the receiver is built in the main board
If you want to learn to fly helis start off with the WLTOY V911 and a micro quad then you can jump up to a 450 class once you have mastered the V911 and quad
after that you can fly any thing , my beasty 500 class Cobra

Oh im not wanting to make this into a quad.
Im trying to see if I can hack it up a bit, replace it with better parts and basically build a new helicopter out of it
 
Hi mate it may be possible but the cost of parts would make a V911 cheaper to get , the Dh9116 is so heavy it does not fly very well and is under powered, so really the only thing thats any good is the frame , the motor is a brushed motor , you cant upgrade to brushless as the gyro receiver board will not take it , you can still get parts for it so can get it flying again , but it does not lend its self to upgrades
