There's a new scout in town: Hacker Scouts - Mother Nature Network (blog)

Kids are pretty lucky these days. This stuff is way more cool than learning to tie knots and digging holes to use the bathroom in! I hope these clubs take off and become mainstream. Nature is fun and all, but kids should be learning useful skills, like how to build and fly quadcopters.

My son is 13 and loves the quad....so much cool stuff on the way. They can engage nature with FPV...... probably see stuff they never would have.

I know, my 5 year old niece gets so excited every time I fly when she's around. She loves to look in the goggles and tell me where to go. In a couple of years, I'll probably build her an inexpensive copter to practice flying with.
