Hi guys
Anyone know anything about the new SYMA x8c x8w and x8g
I have been flying for about 6 months and I am thinking of getting a x8g but can't seem to find any for sale

The X8C was launched in three variants, The X8C, X8W and X8G. X8C comes with normal camera where as the X8W along with the camera has a Wifi option for android and IPhone to capture real time pictures and video. Alognside X8G comes with the 1080p HD camera and a Go PRo compatible and in addition all the motors of Syma including the X5S are brushed motors, as the brush less are bit expensive.
But only X8C on sale in the market.if you want to buy X8G,you should wait a few months.

Thank you

In fact, for those FPV small quadcotpers, I really prefer H107D. It's in the market for a long time. But it's still hot-selling.
Syma X8C seems to be not much special :)

I purchased my X8G through Amazon. I have friends who purchased X8C's. I've had mine for a couple of weeks now and done a few mods. Some interesting things to share. The stock camera for the G is either 5 or 8 MP, and 1080p. It still runs on the quad's power supply. Less weight that way. But, you're kind of stuck with the stationary mount. I noted that the mounting case for the camera is actually set up for the GoPro Hero. I wound up ditching all of it for the gimbal and camera set up mentioned below. First, the G seems to have better motors than the C. You can feel more of a 'detant' as you manually move the prop (causing the rotor to move past the stator). This is NOT friction at the gears. It is stronger magnets and tighter windings. This means more power. It also means slightly shorter flying time with the stock batteries. I have compensated for this by ordering 2500 mAH and 3000 mAH batteries. I haven't gotten the 3m batteries yet. They will require an internal mod as you have to trim out the mid-body plate to make room for them. Another way we have proven the additional power is that my buddy and I have done the same mods, adding a Walkera G2-D gimbal and DBPower action camera. On the X8 series, the gimbal requires it's own power source, the stock battery for the WLToys v262. This means MORE weight. We ran the same batteries. The gimbal works fine. The camera is great. The X8G had no trouble lifting and flying the additional weight. The C had a hard time lifting off and couldn't stay aloft as long. If you want to know more about my mods. Let me know.

(update) I've since eliminated the need for the battery to operate the gimbal, by soldering a connector directly to the control board's main power points and running that leader out through the hull, on the side the gimbal's connection is on.

About the X8C and X8W, the C is, as you know, the standard version, C meaning camera, is okay. For it's size, etc., it's just about the best for the budget conscious. The W's biggest selling feature is 'Wifi'. But, it's not that great. First, the wifi is only good for about 300 ft. After that, you lose signal. And, using wifi and FPV isn't that practical unless you're reeeeeeally good at it and have FPV goggles. Looking back and forth from line of sight to your smart phone is only distracting and risky. The G is a great platform for doing a few mods and getting into the aerial videography game real cheap. Sort of like a poor man's DJI or your entry level starter kit. Even with all my mods, I still spent less that $300.00. I couldn't be happier.

The X8C seems to be a great platform to mount much better quality cameras..The X8G has the best camera mounted but its far from being better than what you can get for the same price range of a camera.

Buying the X8C then installing a better camera seems to be the best route to take...You can sell the camera the X8C comes with to help buy a better one.

Actually, the camera on the X8C is just an X5C camera stuffed in another shell. They're both so cheap it's not worth trying to sell. If you want to upgrade, just put that camera on a shelf and buy the X8G stock camera for the upgrade. OR, do a REAL upgrade and to the gimbal / camera upgrade mentioned above. BUT, start out with the X8G, not the C.

Thats what i was meaning by selling it or at least saving the $60.00 or more you pay for the G model and get a better camera to mount on the X8C.

You can buy go pro quality cameras for $70-$80.

I bought the DBPower action camera kit for about $60.00 and the Walkera G2-D Gimbal for about the same. No extra battery required, if you hook it up to the main controller board.

I wasnt aware the motors were changed in the G model over the C model...The C can already handle 175 to 200g carrying capacity...more than enough really.

Either way the SYMA X8 series are the powerhouses of the toy quads out today.

I would personally rather waste $20.00 for a camera im not going to use than $60.00
