This is my first post here but have been on other sites. Since this forum deals with quads, I thought it would be the best place to ask my question.
I purchased an Syma X5C-1 without a transmitter. Not because I did not want the Tx, I just did not read the posting correctly. Since I had what I thought was another Syma X5C-1, I figured so what I already have a Tx. Well it turns out the original X5c-1 was a knock off and the Tx would not bind to the 'new' X5c. So I go and buy another Tx. Again being stupid, I purchase an X5c-14 Tx not thinking the -14 designation is anything different since they all come from China.
Well when I turn on the quad the LED's flash, turn on the Tx and it flashes, move the throttle to max the quad LED's become steady. Returning the Throttle to Min and the Quad LED's begin flashing again.
There is no control of any kind on the quad. I charged and checked the quad battery and it is at 4.2 volts.
Obviously I screwed up again but now I don't know the quad is at fault or is it the Tx. Is there a modulation difference between the X5c-1 and the X5c-14? Since the Tx was only $10 if it is at fault I 'll just trash it. If the quad is the reason, I'll use it for parts for my original knock off.
Any help would be appreciated.
