Syma X5C battery polarity wiring

I just got some Turnigy batteries " not specific for the X5" and
found that the Mini connector on the syma battery is wired backwards
compared to other rc vehicles that use the same plug.

To look at the stock battery plugged into my son's stock X5 socket ,
the red wire is connected to black and black to red ???

I'm not sure if their all like that as I have one thats hard wired and I'm sure
I soldered the wires to the same color.

I have a Syma X5C-1 coming and I ordered a few extra batteries with it and they are the Turnigy ones and you have to switch the polarity around on the ends. There was a Youtube on this subject and he shows how to change the wires in the ends that come with the Turnigy.

I must ask why this was designed this way? Thanks for posting, this would be a sure way to ruin a quadcopter or battery.

I am not sure why but from reading and looking at YouTube about the quads there is several comments about it. Maybe because the batteries are made in China and their polarity is different from ours. Not sure why but just switch the ends and then everything is fine for our use.
Hope this helps
Regards
Tar :)
