Sunstone Garden: Mixing Drone, DSLR and GoPro footage.

Good stuff! It is tough working with different cameras, and getting it all to blend in.

Adobe Premiere does a pretty good job with the different frame rates on its own. When it comes to resolution differences I have to resize my Drone and GoPro footage as my Canon 80D only shoots in 1920x1080 60fps. Color correction can be a little tricky as I'm still learning how to do it properly. Did the use of different cameras stand out much from clip to clip?

It is noticeable, but not too much. I am surprised that the 80d does not shoot in 4k.

My wife has the 60d, and it only does 1080 too.

Hmmmm, ya I wish they shot higher. The 1D Mark 2 would be best shooting in 4K or 1080 at 120fps. But most people that shoot for fun don't buy $6000 cameras.. Ha ha

I ground film with the Lumix g7. It is the best bang for the buck in the 4k arena, and with a little work it blends good with my with my x5s.

I hear that Canon is about to release a mirrorless in 2018, and may have plans to replace their entire lineup with mirrorless in the future.

I thought of going mirrorless. The light weight would make traveling easier and less moving parts would be better for maintenance. BUT when it came down to it the 80D won a few months back. Do you compose many videos yourself? I'm kinda curious how long it takes other people from imported video to rendered and complete on a short movie for YouTube. I sorta feel I spend too long editing.

I built a hackintosh to accommodate 4k editing and rendering without it taking forever. I am fortunate to have a 1 gig fiber line for my uploads so it takes longer for youtube to process than it does to upload.

I produce as many as I can squeeze in next to all my other activities. Editing is by far the longest part of all my work.

Here are a couple of my latest videos.

These two for profit and the last one was for fun which does not happen very much any more. I just had to drain a couple of batteries.

That's what I really need to do. I need to figure out a way to make money from my cameras

How much do you charge if you don't mind me asking?
