Struggling in Beta Flight

Hi everyone, I have a few major issues with my new build.

The first is this: I am using Spektrum 4649t and a BetaFlightF4 FC. No matter what i do, the reciever enters bind mode with every power cycle.

The second is that my throttle and aux2 are mapped the same and I am not sure how to separate the two.

I've looked on the internet for answers, but no cigar.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

I'm not familiar with Spektrum systems, I'm a FRSky guy. But it sounds like you've got some mixing going on between the two channels. I know with the Taranis this can happen if you choose the incorrect model (airplane/fixed wing) in your initial setup. Can you post a screenshot of the Betaflight receiver tab?

Not seen these issues myself but I do use spektrum transmitter/receivers, in general the auto-bind feature will kick on if the receiver doesn't see a signal from a transmitter it's bound to within a few seconds but after the first binding so long as your transmitter is turned on it should pick up that previous binding. If it doesn't do "auto-bind" which from flipping through the manual it appears it doesn't then it shouldn't go back into bind mode unless the bind loop is hooked up and/or those connections are shorted.

I would look at fixing the binding issue as separate from anything with the FC communication or channel mapping since that should just be between your transmitter and receiver and so long as the receiver is powered it shouldn't actually need to talk to the FC at all (it's just outputting data from the receiver to the FC but the receiver doesn't need any data in from the FC).

If binding continues to be problematic I would exchange the receiver. If you resolve that issue then for the channel mapping it could be a matter of heli/airplane mode (generally should be "airplane" mode) on the transmitter or other config in the transmitter that is mixing channels or otherwise but would really focus effort on the binding part first since that doesn't sound right/normal and might be indicative of other problems with the receiver and/or connections.

Thank you everybody, later that night I was trying again, and suddenly my receiver gave the error message that there was a hardware issue and it has locked me out of a y other screens ir functions. So I guess I'll start with that. Thank you though so much
