Storm Racing Drone RTF Type B from Helipal.com

I'm new to quads. I bought a Syma X5C about a week ago and so far I love it. It's very cheap feeling and it gets bullied by the wind but I like it for my first quad. I've been looking into getting a good quality drone for a while but haven't been able to afford it and now that I can I am nervous about buying from a website from China that I cannot find too much about. So my questions are: 1) Has anyone dealt with Helipal.com before and can I trust that if I send them over $400 I won't get ripped off? 2) Has anyone flown this specific drone?

I'm going to be using it mostly for entertainment but I also want to capture some scenery. I don't have a GoPro but I know people that would definitely let me use theirs for the footage. I know this is primarily an FPV drone and seems to have pretty good signal range with stock electronics but i won't be able to afford to complete the FPV system so when I get it I will probably look at taking off the FPV system for now to lighten the quad up.

Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Lee

I have found this on other sites for around $40 also if you want to buy from a REALLY reputable seller who you can call newegg.com has them.

I have the Syma X5C. And it's my first quad. I'm looking for something of better quality that isn't too expensive. After hours of research I think I want one of the 2 above but I wanted opinions and input on the seller and the copter itself. I don't mind buying from someone I've never heard of as long as I'm not ripped off. And this being from China there's not much I can do if they decide to take my money.

I've never bought from this seller, but people seem to like the Version 2 of this quadcopter a lot. This is dirt cheap for a quadcopter, so this would be really good to let you get into the hobby.

I could recomend the CX-20! I have got some great footage with it, it evens works at 400-500ft up! A little scary to get down though, I ended up crash landing about a 1000ft away from my house...

SO are you saying that they don't handle very well? I agree with it being scary getting some quadcopters down from heights :).

Sorry, I didn't state that right... At 500ft and windy, it handle goodish, I just had no reference point to see if it was moving forward or backward... So then I freaked out and couldnt bring it back.... I was stupid and didn't just bring the throttle down... (Dont ask why) It handles fine, Im just an awful pilot.. Want to see the footage?

Well, im so new to RC that I have no idea what handling good is :), so you can judge from the footage :D
Haha, sure. I am not a good pilot either :) I think a little video will be helpful to everybody, if a picture is worth a thousand words, what about a few thousand of them.

Looks like a good quadcopter. You just doing video shooting, or have more planned?

Thanks for the quick video.

Well I wanted something better than toy quality. I don't have a good camera like a gopro so I plan to strap my phone to it. I've already weighed it and the drone will easily lift the 180g. I have friends that will let me borrow their gopros if I give them a copy of the footage.
I plan to use it mostly for fun around my house. But I also have a house along the Colorado River in Arizona so I will be using it to film the river and other scenery. I live near Pasadena, CA so I have the beach close enough and also azusa canyon which both offer awesome opportunities for filming.
With the Syma X5C I consider myself a decent pilot. I can fly with the quad facing me with no problem.
I was looking at the storm drones because the quality looks pretty good for the price. I am 18 with 2 part time Jobs so I'm always on a budget and probably shouldn't buy anything but I love rc stuff.
thanks,
Lee

I am buying a Runcam($49.99) here in a few days. Runcams have fared better than the Mobius in all test except latency. Runcam has too much lag to be used for FPV, but can be used for recording. Even a GoPro has bad latency though.

That looks like a way better option than the crappy one I got off of Amazon for $20. it got dark by the time I had it on my Syma X5C so I couldnt record anything but black. My Syma also has a micro sized dent in the larger gear so it's very difficult to get off the ground but once it's up its perfectly fine until the battery gets low.
I'll try to post a video of it on here tomorrow(or later today I should say) no matter how crappy it is.

lol it was probably more of a general question.
So i did that flight with both the stock x5c camera and the one i bought online but a gust of wind forced it to land upside down on my neighbors roof. So i am waiting for them to get home for permission to get it off their roof. I had it in low rates so i couldn't. Also the battery was kinda low.
