Still No Fly After 3 Months...

Hello,
I've had my Hubsan H501S for 3 months today, and still haven't tried it out, even though I've had nice High Desert weather with several windless days at my 1 square mile of obstruction-free vacant land.

Since I've begun construction of the benchwork for my 126-foot O-scale 2-rail Model Railroad, I've had no time for anything else.

When I've finished my layout where I can run trains, then I'll try my Quad, but this could take the reemainder of the year.

Gotta post pictures!

Hmmm, an fpv camera on an engine. Could be a fun exp so long as you don't have any bridges.

Boy. I thought I could get focused on a task! Take a break from the train work a couple times a day and fly your quad, silly.

I try to fly daily, except in Oklahoma, we can get weeks of the same weather at a time. WIND! RAIN! SUN! HOT!

Been flying almost every day recently. Too bad this silly Sky Viper somebody got me doesn't record video in flight.

Hey Tentoes...

When I'm involved in benchwork construction, no other hobby has room in my mind!

I'm busy with cutting 2x4's, drilling holes for mounting brackets, cutting out curves in 4x8 panels, running down to Lowe's and Home Depot to buy more materials, etc.

I won't have time for "silly" drones probably until this fall. My Hubsan has FPV and extra battery power for the TX and extra LiPo's for extended flights.

HEY TENTOES:

Hey man...you were into G-SCALE big time!

That was the most ambitious model railroad project I ever saw! Were they LGB locos?

My first High Desert model railroad was a 150-foot indoor layout that went from my Game Room through a portal and into the 3rd car space of my garage and back.

It consisted of 2 big loops connected by around-the-room shelf trackage, running continuously in a "bent dog-bone" routing.

I don't have any computer picture files, just 4x6 photos. Here's a shot of my old LGB train, a Colorado & Southern 2-6-0- Mogul.
