Thought I blew a motor the other day after some heavy novice induced crashes after some investigation and panic buy of some new motors I realised it was the spacer on the pinion gear Easy Fix during my ordeal I came across 3 blade props for the X5 only a couple of bucks from China and 3 weeks post to the Aussie Outback so what the I bought some red for the front and black for the rear .................................... My question has anyone tried 3 blade props? any difference? a dude on youtube said it hovered better in the end it only cost a few bucks

Some of the pros & cons of 3 blade:

Pros:

-More thrust and stability
-less vibration
-less affected by the wind
-less resistance

Cons:

-Less efficient (reduced flight times, harder on motors & lipos)
-slower top-end speeds

So in general, racers use 3-blade props and long range/aerial photography quads use 2-blade props
