Something we should all be aware of...

Fellow Quadsters,

I am a recent member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). I joined this because I both fly a quadcopter and, recently, a fixed-wing R/C Airplane. Not unlike the requirements imposed by the FAA on Quadcopter operation, so too are R/C fixed-wing model aircraft pilots and R/C helicopter pilots affected. Thanks to the AMA, we have a national organization that is going to bat for us and will include, as a side benefit, Quadcopters in the mix.

I have linked in an announcement from the AMA for your review and consideration regarding this issue.

True on this, however the House Bill is stuck and may not get approved in a timely fashion to meet the requirements for the conference committee. Sounds much like other legislation that dies before it's born...

I didnt watch the video because I dont have a good place to watch it right now. Some vague sounding language for over sight in the Senate Bill. I dont like when they do that. It just broadens their power because it stays open to interpretation. Im fine with the house dragging their feet.
