Hi,
This is my first post on this forum or any other uav forum. I have been interested in quadcopters since seeing them in action over a year ago. I subsequently purchased a Traxxas QR-1 which having researched seemed like a good learning quadcopter. I am now looking at moving up to the next level with the obvious choice seems to be something like the DJI Phantom 2 vision plus. I want something that is ready to go, capable of taking nice stills and video. The fact that the native camera can shoot RAW is a major draw and therefor I am more inclined to go with that than the gopro 4 with the zenmuse gimbal.
I know this is more theoretical question, but should I wait to see if the "Phantom 3" comes out anytime soon or in the opinion of you guys who have a bit more knowledge of trends etc in the industry should i just go ahead and purchase the current model. I got caught out a few years back when buying an ipod, only for a new model to be released less than a month later which was cheaper and had more memory, very annoying. A quadcopter is a much more expensive purchase so I don't really want to make the same mistake again.
Many thanks in advance.
