SG906 Pro 2 has a scratch on the camera glass?

Hi, I recently got an SG906 Pro 2 as my first drone as it came highly recommended. I then stupidly crashed it in a field on a breezy day not knowing about high speed mode. It had quite a bit of damage, the gimbal was hanging loose by the wires and one of the hinges were a bit slack causing the drone to lose balance when it moves. I managed to super glue the gimbal in place and it seems alright so far. But it has a scratch right across the glass cover of the lens and unfortunately it affects photos significantly. Do you think I could get a replacement sheet of glass or even just remove the glass for good? If so, how could I do it?

Thank you.

Sure just depends on how it's sealed in there but some amount of heat from a heat gun or hot air rework station or even a hair dryer can usually get most adhesives to start breaking down and then can slowly pry things apart (if finding hidden screws isn't the answer). For the little security cam based ones that are common on FPV stuff there is a common thread size for the lenses (I think 8mm diameter) but anyhow it is usually not too hard to even replace an entire lens if it shatters (and usually only around $15 sure it varies based on the lense/availability). If it was just protective glass no problem taking it out but for reasons above I would suggest having something in front of the actual lense.

Thanks for the reply. I managed to remove the plastic lens, albeit with a few scratches and gouges on the edges of the lens area. But most importantly the lens itself now isn't blocked by a scratch. Im not too sure where to find an exact size lens cover for it though.

Yah hard to say, if you haven't tossed it already keep the broken one you could always just get some thin plexiglass from hardware store and can probably cut to size with an exacto knife and patience/time.
