Screwy question

I hope someone in this forum can help me. I'm dealing with Jrelics A2212 1000KV motors. I need to get some mounting screws to attach them to the carbon fiber arms of my Bee. The major diameter of the screws (across the top of the threads) measured .116" with my calipers. Metric conversion formulas and tables lead me to believe I need M3 screws. The length of the screw needs to be at least .280" or 8mm. So if I'm figuring this right, I need M3X8. Does this sound right to anybody? I did round up on the length to the next standard size.

Make sure they aren't so long that they touch the windings inside your motor. You should try to find the shortest ingres that you can get away with
