The USA may suffer sometimes from "lowest bidder" ..........but still better than Russia's "get it right or off to Siberia.

The Russian Post failed to launch their first drone delivery parcel when their $20,000 UAV slammed into a wall seconds after it launched, according to Reuters. While the multicopter was en route to a destination that was nearly 10 miles away, it malfunctioned and flew into a building.

There's a couple of Murphy Laws in that mishap.
What ever can go wrong will.....
Things never go as planned.....
Can anyone think of any more?

The takeoff looked good. I suspect that there was something wrong with the GPS/compass and when the pilot switched to autopilot, it eh aircraft toilet-bowled into the building. Perhaps he should have first put the aircraft into a Loiter mode, which requires working GPS/compass - it it holds position then go ahead with the mission, otherwise quickly take over manually and abort the flight.

I can certainly imagine something like that happening to me. With cameras and dignitaries, something surprising is bound to happen.
