RunCam Owl: Pitch-Black Ghost Hunting with IR LED Ring!

Hi guys!

In this video I test the RunCam Owl in pitch-black night without moonlight. I then repeat the same test with an IR LED ring, which is invisible to the human eye, but provided illumination for the RunCam Owl. Come ghost hunting with me! :-D

 
Great vid! Was the IR ring built or purchased? I wonder if there are higher intensity leds avaliable that could help reduce the footprint of the ring. Perhaps only 4 high intensity emitters might be used to create a more compact version.
 
Cheers mate! All the info on the parts is in the video description. The IR Ring itself can be bought for almost nothing from Banggood, direkt link here. It would be great to try to experiment with other types of IR leds :-)
