RTF drone setup help

I recently got the ARRIS X220 220mm RC Quadcopter FPV Racing Drone, a RCmall Flysky FS-T6 High precision 2.4G 6 channel Radio controller and Eachine VR D2 Pro Upgraded 5 Inches 800*480 40CH 5.8G Diversity FPV Goggles.

It is a gift for my dad and I just need help with setting it up or so that I can show him how to set it up.

Would it be possible to program the controller to use the buttons on it to switch between different flight modes like hovering? And if so how would I do it? Also what is a good way to mount the reciever to the drone?

Secondly how do I connect the goggles, do I just screw the antenna into the drone? I understand how to pair goggles with drones but not sure about adding the atenna.

I am in Namibia where there is almost no support for fpv drone. We don't even have a shop here that can help.

So please advise me if someone can. I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks.

You need to find out which board is in it & what flight program. For switch arming.
In the tx menu change Aux switches.
Aux 1 to swd which will be arm & disarm
Aux 2 to swc (3 position switch) which will be flight modes.
Do not connect any battery to the quad unless the fpv antenna is on or the vtx is unplugged from power as the vtx will burn out. The when you done that go into the betaflight or cleanflight & setup the modes. Arm on Aux2 swd
Modes on aux1 swc. What type of rx came with it.

If all is connected right then it's just a case of turning the goggles on & press the search button, it should pick the channel up automatically. If it scans, if not just keep cycling through.

Sorry Aux 1 = channel 6 but applied to swd.
Aux 2 =channel 5 & applied to swc.
You could have the arm on any 2 position switch but for noobs the modes has to be on swc as it is the only 3 position switch.
If you turn the accelerometer off you don't have to use a mode switch. It will be automatically in acro mode & you don't have to set that switch up.

I think the T6 he has lacks a 3 position switch.
