Rookie help request - Propeller not spinning well

Hi, nice to have found this community. Im new to the hobby but having a blast so far. However, with my Syma X5 Im having an issue where there is resistance to one of the propellers spinning. Ive linked a youtube video below that shows what it looks like (this is not me, but just a video on youtube that shows the symptoms I have). Ive heard this might be gear binding? Or could it be something else? Nothing appears to be lodged in the gears on the outside, would I need to open it up to inspect more? Because Im new to this, I have plenty of crashes and hard landings (mostly into the grass).

Thanks in advance!

It's either the motor or the gears.

It is EXTREMELY easy to have VERY VERY small specc of dirt in there that you cannot see.
It get's wedged into the small gear teeth usually.
Unless your vision is 20/20 and excellent up close, you might need a magnifier.

If after checking again with a magnifier if necessary and you find nothing, remove the gear assembly and see how the motor spins when not touching the larger gear.
If there is resistance, you need a new motor.
