Reverse direction of some motors

just tested motors, and found out that they all spinning in the same direction. I know that you can reverse a motor by switching the wires, but I was wondering whether I could just change the direction of certain motors inside the fc itself using betaflight. Is there an option to do this?

You can do it but you need to use BLHeliSuite32 and it is basically done by modifying the ESC configuration. The BF FC will act as a bridge and "passthrough" the ESC connection onto the USB when using BLHeliSuite32

In there you would select each motor and can use a motors tab to figure out which is which in the BLHeli config and then toggle the reverse option for the motor.

Personally I don't mind a little soldering so if it isn't hard to get at you can also swap any two of the three phase wires connected from ESC to motor and a motor will reverse direction.

Ah no worries. Yah with brushed in general can just swap the two around is your easiest way, if the circuit delivering power to the motor has/is an h-bridge instead of just a transistor I think it can be reversed in software basically but I imagine that's kind of uncommon.

Just made me think if there's a brushed quad that supports "3d mode" where motors go reverse direction it would have an H-Bridge to do that which will let it reverse the current through the DC motor as well as throttle it in either direction.
