Reptile Mosquito Y4 - What do you think?

Hi there. I've been looking to build a 250 quad copter for a while and today I started looking at frames. I come across this "tri" - Copter frame. Does anyone have any info on it? It looks awesome but would it work? I've never really looked into tri-copters so I don't know much about them. Would having two blades at the front (or rear?) cause the thing to flip uncontrollably? I'm not looking to buy it. I'm just interested to know more about it. Maybe if I get the money, I think about building another copter of some sort.

Gotta admit, it looks good though. Just a shame it isn't a quad.

Hi mate tri copters fly closer to a CP heli than a quad does , Normally a tri copter has 3 motors not 4 , and tail direction is controlled buy a high speed tail servo off a 450 class CP helicopter it tilts the tail motor left and right to change direction
Now the Y4 uses 2 motors on the tail one upside down and now to change direction the motors speeds are changed as if it was a true quad
True tricopters fly really well

Nice! Are they difficult to fly? Might consider building one as another project. Would a 250 sized tri copter be better than a 250 sized quad for agility? My main interest is flying between a lot of trees with sharp turns. I saw someone do it and it looked awesome. Might add FPV, depending on funds.

Hi mate 250 quads are so much fun but can need some space to turn in at high speed , the tri-copter should be able to turn harder as the tail motor will tilt a long way over and turn is very tight , Like I said they fly like a CP heli so sharp turns are away of life
