You are spot on mate . I only say to try and use the same motor so you know the amps pulled on the escs will be the same or very close the FCB will adjust to keep level . A long time back there was a dead cat frame as the two front motors were in a different part of space compared to the rear motors the FCB would keep it level when flying did strange movement's so you had to manual tune the FCB to stop this you can get the same effect if motors don't match
