Repair Question

Long story short. Flown when I shouldn't have. Too windy, too many crashes. 3 props spin up, 4th doesn't. Fried a motor on my Syma X5SW-1. Ordered a combo set last week when I didn't need em, now I do: set of props, prop guards, landing gear and motors due in a couple weeks. Looks like the motors are bare end wires. My question is.. can the motors be swapped out without soldering? I have no soldering experience at ALL. Can the wires be cut, twisted, heat shrink wrapped or liquid taped together and still work?

Leaning that way myself. Will have a couple weeks practice time. Gonna check Amazon for a hobby set.
Don't try to cheap out on a soldering iron. Get a decent soldering station with adjustable temp control. The temp that works best for me is 625-650 degrees.

Dang. Was off today so decided to take another look at my quad. Found the little gear on motor shaft was loose! Trying Gorilla Glue on it to see if holds. If not, any recommendations? Can't believe I've been grounded all this time for that and prob not a burnt motor.

YES!!!! Back in the air. Gorilla glue didn't work, Super glue didn't work, but good old JB Weld did the trick. Time will tell if it holds but I do have few minutes in the air and so far so good.
