[Recommend] Best non-fpv hobby grade micro done

Hey all, I bought a drone about a week ago, and I've been playing the heck out of it in quarantine. It's a toy-grade quadcopter that I bought off amazon for about 15 usd (propel atom). I wanted to go a little further, so I was wondering if anyone could give me recommendations for drones. I would prefer something that is not a toy because I would really like to swap out the battery for longer playtime, and I find the controls on the toy drone limiting- Even the fastest speed is kind of slow, and the drone can't 'rotate' fast enough.

I would like something that I can fly indoors, in a kind of cramped apartment. I would also be willing to build it, although I don't have any experience. I don't really need to mount a camera. I would prefer to have the drone cost less that 50 bucks, if at all possible.

List of features, in order of preference:
1) cheap
2) small as possible
2) responsive and nimble controls (racing drone controls?)
3) swappable battery

So I guess I wouldn't even need it to be hobby grade. If I could somehow mod the drone to fly with no assists, I would be happy. I would be willing to assemble, but I don't have a soldering kit at home.

Any direction in what to buy/ what to build would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Check out the eachine e016 haven't tried it looks intriguing. Also if you check out banggood they'll sometimes have flash deals where you could get a qx65 for about $35. Those can be flashed with inav for full customization.

The qx65 looks nice, and is something I might try to go for. Is it cheaper to build my own? I could probably get a soldering iron somewhere.
