Hey, i have an old RC Heli (Walkera 4#6) that i'm not using anymore... would it be possible to builde a quadcopter out of it ? And if yes which part would i need to get it fly ?

In the picture you see the receiver/gyro/mixer of the heli... is it possible to use it for my projekt ? The only thing i found out is that i will need 4 speed controlls... I suggest tat i have to connect everyone to the throttle and than one to the elevater, one to the rudder and so one..... ???

best regards

Hi mate sorry to say NO you cant a heli gyro on a quad if its a receiver off a Fly bar heli then you can use it , the fly bar less gyros axis are wrong , basic Flight control boards for a quad are cheap

Hi thats a basic fixed pitch , the receiver will work but it will need to plug into a FCB like the KK, nase32, tarot-m, etc , you cant control a quad just with the receiver
Another thing to think about too is the transmitter will be basic so its hard to set up and tune the FCB the first part of the set up is having all the axis reading zero this is normally done by sub trim in the radio , also stick travel may need to be reversed as well all this is done in the transmitter normally ,it can be done in the FCB but its harder if you have never done this before

I hope that your are kidding, have you even looked at a Quad to compare the plethora of physical differences, not withstanding the major differences in the controlling electronics???
