Rate or Slate my build plan

Hi Phil , will be a nice racing quad ,I changed it to 250 lol ( from 230), all great mate , A few questions for you , why are you having 2 sets of leads with XT60 you just need the Male XT60 lead and plug , if you get this your have the lead ready

or this will be lighter

Liner BECs can get hot switching BEC is better ,but they dont do switching in them so see how they go
The only thing on the frame I dont like is the landing legs they are going to get ripped off in a crash and racing quads crash a lot , can you get spare ones , if not get some carbon sheet a so you can cut out some spare legs , also make sure you have loads of props you go through loads of these
BUT other than that GO FOR IT GREAT BUILD LIST

Cheers man. How much of an issue are we talking re. Linear vs Switching BECs? (strangely, haven't come across this yet, although there's a lot about it out there). The xt60 harness is a quality plan, was going to wire up my own, didn't know these existed.

Was curious about the power to weight as well. I've seen builds where people talk about 7:1 thrust to weight ratios, I'm only hitting about 4:1, without camera gear. Is this good enough?

Cheers, Phil

Hi Phil, for a racing 250 quad you want a lot of power as this will make it fast and your win more races, the faster it is the harder to fly
Liner BECs give out a constant power and if your not using the power fully it makes heat , switching BECs do what it says on the tin power on power off power on etc so runs cools , but not all ESC have SBEC, you can always go octo ESC with NO BEC then fit a nice powerful switching BEC to run the systems
