As an "0lde gopher" who cut his first teeth on free flight, control line and RC sets with tubes I object to the use of "controller" in place of "transmitter".

When & where in Haedes did this word "controller" creep into our hobby??? Is it a poor Chinese translation into English? I find it both confusing & irritating. The transmitter does not "control" the drone. The pilot/operator does the controlling of the transmitter which in turn transmits the various radio signals to the receiver in the drone. Thank goodness we haven't started calling the receiver the "catcher". My ex-wife was a controller, control freak, etc. ...enough said on that subject :) by the prefix "ex".

Let's all get it right. It is "transmitter", please!

Being Old, I will agree with you...hehehe. Not old enough for "valves" in the RC hobby. I did fly a few glow plugs and such in the 70s and 80s.

Whatever is new is not necessarily better. Transmitter it is.

I call it my T3MIF (The Thing That Makes It Fly)! Transmitter, Controller, hey, what do you want good grammar or good flying? As long as you have something that will, hopefully, keep it flying the way you want it to and not the way it want's to.
