As an "0lde gopher" who cut his first teeth on free flight, control line and RC sets with tubes I object to the use of "controller" in place of "transmitter".
When & where in Haedes did this word "controller" creep into our hobby??? Is it a poor Chinese translation into English? I find it both confusing & irritating. The transmitter does not "control" the drone. The pilot/operator does the controlling of the transmitter which in turn transmits the various radio signals to the receiver in the drone. Thank goodness we haven't started calling the receiver the "catcher". My ex-wife was a controller, control freak, etc. ...enough said on that subject by the prefix "ex".
Let's all get it right. It is "transmitter", please!
