Hey guys,

I wanted to build a 250 racing quadcopter. Does anyone know of any good parts lists? I have built drones before but I am new to the racing drones...

Thanks for any help,
Jerry

What is an approximate budget, and what are some parts that you already have?

Also how did your 450 come along, you like that 9x tx pretty well?

Hey! Thanks for the quick reply!

My budget is anywhere less than $1,000. This list should include the drone itself, batteries, FPV camera and goggles and a transmitter and receiver.
Also, my 450 works great! I had a problem with the Naza Lite but I sent it into DJI and they sent me a replacement. The 9X is an excellent RC.

Hahaha, this was the response a vendor got posting a picture of a bunch of Phantoms and Inspires he had for sale on a FPV racing group

All kidding aside (or is it?), look at this post for FPV, I suggest you get the Fatshark Dominator V2 goggles (try to find them new, cheaper than this link, ;) you could also save a bit buying used ).

Cool looking Frame, can certainly use a cheaper one or even DIY one
battery Grab a couple of either or both, 4S 1300mAh Multistar or 3S 1300mAh Multistar, you can use any other battery, NOTE: the 4S has an XT60 the 3S has an XT30

2150KV Multistar Mini Monster (set of 4) The multistar elite and baby beast are good too, but these are rated for 2S-4s instead of 2S-3S
Here are some 20a ESCs with NO BEC (you would need to get one), if you don't want to fool with a BEC get a 20a ESC with one built in
CC3D Flight controller or a KK
battery mound/strap
PDB/PDC
props
some servo leads
another receiver for your radio

One question, for the Fat Shark Dominator link you sent me, is that all I need or is there anything else I need to get. Does it come with camera and both RX and TX?

This is a pretty fast setup.
Good list!
The only suggestion I have is to avoid the DYS ESC's. My one and only experience was a failure. I opened one up and even to my uneducated eye it was suspect. There are plenty of other good quality ones out there that GJH105775 can recommend. Mine is ZTW Spider 30A Small. They are opto so you need a UBEC. I have never had a failure with these and they are fast acting at up to 600hz. That's my 2 cents........:D
