If you send your quad out on a dog leg and suddenly lose signal and the bend in the dog leg has trees. I'm assuming that the quad will tree itself? It's not going to dodge anything on its beeline back to your location so how is this an asset unless you just flew an unobstructed routine? Not sure how that works so just askin,..

Assuming you are talking about return to home, then hopefully you have set the height high enough to clear the trees.

So something to consider b4 flying is to set a flight plan which kind of takes the spontaneity out the deal . If I was spending more than a 1K for a quad.... gee I make brain surgery out of this X5C-1... more buttons, MORE settings... I can't wait to set the height! I'm also praying that GRAVITY isn't some huge Viking kinda guy since I've been DEFYING him since August...heheheheh! But that's a whole other post all together. Cheers brah!

Don't know exactly what you mean but this Phantom TX has a lot less 'things' on it than my inexpensive TX.
