Questions about beginner level "racing" drone

I just today have found out how cool the drone racing idea is and though I'll probably never actually race I would like to play around with the idea a bit. I learned about the Eachine E013 Micro and from youtube learned about the EV800 goggles. So from my position so far it seems the most economical way to begin would be the buy the E013 without goggles (since they seem to come with the dreaded VR006 goggles) and buy a set of EV800 goggles seperately.

The other thing I've found and am considering but think the goggles might not be as good as the EV800 and also!!! from a quick search for the drone on ebay seems too good to be true, is, the RISE Indorfin 130 package deal including drone and goggles for $80 at:

As I said from my ignorant position that seems too good to be true so I must be missing something and also the goggles don't seem as good...lower resolution.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? I have done repeated searches for used race drone packages hoping to find where people are selling their gear in order to upgrade but so far haven't found any options like that. I want to keep the price down to about $100 for now since this is just to learn the basics about it and see if I like it. I've been flying drones for a few years so I have basic flying ability and now want to play around with using goggles.

Yeah I saw that though farther down the page other people had good things to say. I still feel the E013 would probably be the better way to go but so far I'm only aware of that one other option on that cost level.
 
If you're fairly serious about getting into the hobby it would be best to start out with decent goggles, you can't fly if you can't see. Seems those EV800s are popular though I've not tried them.

Quads will come and go but goggles are critical for FPV.
 
yah lots of different things being mentioned here but will throw in my 2 cents. The E013 is a brushed micro the other one you linked is a brushless and prop size is around 2.75" according to specs. The RISE one has an F3 flight controller, (F4 is becoming old at this point so F3 is ancient history), this means it won't be upgradeable to latest betaflight the version it's on may or may not (likely not) support on screen display to give data about voltage and other things from the quad to your FPV feed. If the goal is to save some money and get into the hobby then I'd do it piece wise, start looking around at prices for bind and fly or ready to fly quads which means you'll just buy the transmitter separately, if you get this RISE one as soon as this quad dies (probably soon) it will all be trash, if you get a good transmitter and like dugdog said decent goggles they will last for a very long time and can use them across many models (until you break a switch or otherwise fry something doing a mod).

Edit I started off with some cheap garbage Eachine goggles but couldn't fly with them video receiver was just too much of a pile of trash, learned to fly Line of Sight which is good to do anyway you won't know what the thing is doing if you are under the goggles right away.

Second Edit you can fly in angle mode line of sight and learn throttle control a bit that way, learning to fly in the goggles is a ton easier if you setup a simulator first and learn to fly from perspective of the quad in the sim, simulators are cheap just look for transmitters that support USB joystick mode and can use the same transmitter you will fly with as the controller for your sim.
