Question on pairing DX6i radio to JJRC Quadcopter

I recently purchased the JJRC H8D quadcopter, this came with it's own radio with a streaming video player for the camera mounted on the quad. The radio has it's own built in buttons for taking photos and videos. After I purchased this, my mentor handed me the Specktrum DX6i radio because he was not using. I searched the web looking on how to bind the radio to the quad but have been completely unsuccessful so far. I was wondering if anyone on here has any idea if this is even possible? I am completely new to all this, so ALL information is greatly appreciated.

If the receiver is built in or the motors are DC it is unlikely that it will work. Can you get a picture of the quad? (stock or otherwise).

The toy quads all have pre determined protocols..Unless you could solder in a different non dsm module into the radio, then that would be a no go on using that radio with it...

There are some models that use dsm2 protocol but they arent cheap models...I think the Blade NQX uses dsm2 protocol and few more but cant think of the others.

No need to open it, it is a single board quad, and you can't use a hobby rx in it. Also I think it uses proprietary protocols for the radios.

Hahaha, that is actually a really nice quad, especially for that price.
