I am very big on making youtube videos with my friends and im looking into quadcopters that can carry a gopro on them. My question is what will I need/should start with that will allow me to do fpv while flying and get good video that doesnt have the common jello affect. (budget is $500-$700)

From the limited knowledge I have in this hobby, you'll probably struggle to get a quad, with a GoPro and FPV for less than $700.

If you already have a GoPro, which I'm assuming you do given that you have stated you have an interest making videos, you might want to look at the DJI phantom range.

They're pretty much ready to go out of the box, and of the footage I've seen on YouTube, they're very stable when used with a gimbal. Might be worth looking into the second hand market as well; you'd certainly be more likley to find something closer to your budget.

Yes Smokey is right. You cant have it all for that price. Be careful about buying a used quad, make sure it has everything you want and need and watch it fly before buying. FPV is a step that may be best taken after you get a little stick time under your belt and have some practical experience. You "should" be able to pick up a decent quad with a radio the will support a go pro for $700 but probably not FPV.
