Quad for Surveying and 3D photography

I would like to get into surveying and 3D photo rendering. For a quad copter to start, I was considering the Phantom 3, learned yesterday that it does not currently have waypoint navigation which is pretty much mandatory for surveying and 3D photo rendering.

My basic wants/requirements are , FPV, GPS with waypoint navigations, able to lift 2 pounds (additional camera for survey), manual mode. Any ideas would be appreciated, looked at Quantum Nova and I think their waypoint navigation is user supplied programming. Looking 3D robotics new unit, may be the way to go.

Any suggestions,
 
You may want to check out hexacopter. They are more powerful than a quad, can handle a heavier payload, and can get decent flight times with the larger batteries.

I just purchased a Tarot 680 that will supposedly get 18- 20 minute flight on a single battery. not sure about your budget, but you can do waypoint with the Naza 2 or the Naza Lite with updated firmware.

I wish I had more information, but this is currently new territory for me.
