Please help with receiver and transmitter

Hi guys,
Im new to this and its my first build. I have got everything fixed up and placed on my frame correct that I can see. The problem is I cant for the life of me figure out how to make my transmitter talk to my receiver in cleanflight. I have them bound correctly together, but I think its a wiring issue, that being I have no clue which wires go where. I have chosen a cheaper transmitter and receiver for my first build, but I would still think it would work ok. Its a Goolrc OEM Gc6, which seems similar to the Flysky FS-i6. Im trying to connect it to my spracing f3 evo board and cannot get it to talk. I dont know what Im supposed to use(ppm, pwm, serial?). Can anyone help me please, on where I wire from my fc board to my receiver and what setting I should use in cleanflight to get it to communicate. Thanks so much for anyones help, I was so excited to build my first fpv drone, but this part has puzzled and frustrated me.

Hey Bradley......

That receiver is a rebranded Flysky FS-iA6. As such it does not support PPM. Looking at your FC I think you need PPM. You might check it out further but I think you "should" be able to use a FS-iA6B receiver for PPM. Once you get that Rx you should be able to turn on PPM in the Rx with your transmitter(after binding).

Thanks so much for your help, I ordered a FS-iA6B receiver and it will be here today. I will post back and let you know how it goes

I ordered a FS-iA6B
You shouldn't have jumped the gun. Flysky has come out with many newer, more advanced designs; smaller, lighter and with better antenna mounting (easily replaceable.)

This is one is only 4.5 grams vs. 15 grams for the i6B.

There are many F3s out there but there is a good chance you can use PWM with your existing RX. This guy does.

And there is Painless' vid.
