Please help..Tx Rx Problem

Hello so I think im having problems with connections between my tx and rx for my quadcopter. Its a turnigy tgy-i6 and tgy-ia6 receiver.

Basically the rx signal drops to zero and sometimes disappears off the screen on the tx at only a few meters distance but the quadcopter still responds to input.

I caught one of the antenna wires with a propeller a couple of months ago and bent it but it has flown at least 300m since then fine.

The last day i was flying (luckily hovering at about 8m) and the quad just lost all power and fell from the sky crashing.. It was as if it disconnected from the tx and went into failsafe and killed the motors.

The error on screen goes from 0% to 1% occasionally but the main problem is the rx signal going to 0 bars and flashing or else just disspearing completely along with all the other info regarding the rx on screen as if i had unplugged the lipo from the quad (which i havent)

I have tried re binding, and even today I cut the antenna to below where it is bent and stripped the protection and mesh off it to the correct distance for the wavelength but the same rx signal dissappearance is happening at only a few meters away.
Any help on this at all is greatly appreciated! :)

There is NO 'rx signal' showing on the LCD with that RX. What you're seeing is the voltage of the RX.

Is this what you talking about where it says RX?

Note both bars are shaped like batterries. Sounds like you losing power to the RX for some reason. Reseat all your wires, maybe that's all it is.

Yes that battery shape beside rx, that sometimes randomly goes to zero and sometimes dissappears completely from the screen.. Even though the red light on the rx stays solid and the quad responds to inputs from the tx.. But it did cause a crash so I would like to fix it. Sorry, but what does reseat mean? :) thank you for your help

Sounds like battery terminal issues inside the Tx..maybe a cold solder or loose connection inside.

Inside the transmitter!? Damn I thought it was the receiver and ordered a new one while I try fix the old one.. I guess I'll open up the tx today and see what I can find. Thanks for your help

Remove all the connections/connectors to the RX then put them back in.

When you get your new RX you'll note that there will be no RX listing (even if you are powering the RX) on the LCD until you properly bind the new RX. Then it will show up.

I think you will be fine once you get another RX. Search Youtube for the binding procedure.
