Parts for micro fpv racer/acro

Hi guys,

I've been flying BNF/PNP quads for a while and am keen to do my first build.

I'm keen on micro racers (mostly for backyard acro) and keen to build something tiny, powerful, with decent vtx reception and an HD camera.

I'm looking at:

Diatone GT-m2. 5 frame
1106 motors (not sure about kv yet, more learning to do)
Gemfan hulkie 2030 props or similar
TBS Unify Pro vtx
Xm+ reciever
Runcam Split mini camera
I'm not sure about FC and Escs, I'd like an f4 board with built in osd, smartaudio and I'm thinking 28A esc but not sure if that is overkill. I'd like to run on 3s and 4s if possible

I realise this would be a squeeze to fit in the M2. 5 but I'm happy to try.

Can anyone think of things I haven't considered/must dos/recommended parts? Any advice on a FC and ESC? Ideally my parts list will be less than the price of regular GT-m2.5 (minus the runcam) and an opportunity to learn about building.

Thoughts appreciated

I agree with Moz, the Emax motors are good, 6000-6500kv. The T-Motor F15 are also highly rated.
As for your ESCs/Flight Controller, the HGLRC F425 flight stack would work very well for this build

As for the Split, don't they're nothing but trouble. Recorded image may be OK but FPV image is awful with tons of latency.
Here's the setup I've started using and would recommend:
Runcam Swift2 Micro

Runcam mini FPV DVR

This board will sit on top of your F428 stack

Keep in mind I haven't had a look to see if the F428 stack+ Runcam DVR will fit on the Diatone frame, I'll leave that to you.

Thanks for the advice :)

With that camera and DVR combo what kind of quality can you expect? Really hoping to pull some HD if possible. The stuff I've seen from the splits looks very nice quality.

Cheers
