Parrot Disco

Hello. I came across a Parrot Disco the other day, private sale, still in the box, very cheap price. Have read and re read instruction, plane is set to fly. In the manual it says to launch the plane into the wind. I want to try it today, but there is no wind. Is it still possible to fly it? Thanks.

It's just that more lift is created going into the wind vs going with the wind, making it easier to get in the air. Takeoff is always the hardest part with fixed wing. Let us know how your first crash..........I mean flight goes.

Since I've flown both types of aircraft, it is standard procedure to takeoff against the wind and land against the wind.Wind speed over the wings mean the force of lift is in effect. Fly slower than your stall speed and you will crash if you are not at a sufficient altitude to recover from the dive that will occur. By hand launching you force the merits of lift, but without the force of power on the propeller, you will rapidly slow down.

Thanks for the info. I'll let you know how the crash goes.

and I hope you understand that we're not making fun of you, it's just the nature of the beast to crash. I have an S800 Sky Shadow and I swear I've never been able to keep it in the air for more than 20 seconds. But then I'm a much better builder than I am a flyer.

Interesting AC. Lets see
Bat Wing. Low Wing. Pusher Prop. And probably very fast for what it is!

Yes, an immediate crash is in your future. :D

Many, many years ago I flew RC aircraft. Nerves of steel and outstanding reflexes. o_O I built my first RC plane. It was an electric. It was a pretty plane.

Until the first flight ..................haha. I finally learned to keep my ugly plane in the air.

Good Luck! And have fun yanking and banking!
