Orientation mode on CX20

Hi Guys
I have a Cheerson CX20 (quanom Nova)
I have installed mission planner and set the quad up , all trimmed it hovers and flys on gps really good
when i switch on orientation mode it doesnt respond to it at all ,
If i switch on Orientation mode when gps stable mode is on (SWA 1)before i fly it drops out of the sky really fast , not good
When i turn it on with SWB 1 and SWA1 it flys but you have to watch which way it is turned
Any ideas
Is it the compass settings i am unsure
 
Welcome to the forum, rc! I have a Nova as well. I have not used mission planner so I can't speak to your specific problem but I do know that the Nova depends heavily on compass calibration. I would suggest contacting the HK help line. They have been helpful to me in the past and would be a logical next step for solving your problem. I tried them on the recommendation of other forum members and am glad I did. They saved a lot of time and frustration.
