So I got my first kit yesterday (ZMR 250) which came with the CC3D FC. Thought I'd play around a bit. I already had Openpilot on my laptop but when I plugged in the CC3D I got a message that it wsn't compatible with the 15.5 software I had, that I needed 15.2. No, problem, I'll just go into Openpilot and get it. That's when I got the message that Openpilots security certificate had expired, site was corrupt and I was open to security threat including identity theft ( bank account, passwords etc) Good thing I also ordered a Naze 32 and have Cleanflight downloaded

I've just ordered a CC3D from HobbyKing, and just yesterday downloaded OpenPilot's 15.02.02 sw (they state that the CC3D controller is not supported under their latest release 15.05.02, and as you rightly mention)

Just means that it hasn't been renewed, as the original OpenPilot fell on bad times, which is a shame as the forums were quite good.
