App download, ok. Connection to iphone wifi, ok. drone pairing to remote, ok. Connection from iphone to camera, not ok. No image at all.

Questions :
Is your drone's camera a 5G wifi ?
If "yes", does your iphone support 5G wifi transmission?
From what I understand, not all iphones support 5G wifi.

Yes, Both drone camera and iphone 5G-wifi. During the set-up and pairing sequence, I was prompted to select my device and then select, go flying. My particular device wasn't among the choices. The other drones, I didn't need to select a device. Only this third one. I've also been communicating with drone seller for the past week. Trouble is, this is the third drone in as many weeks that I've had a problem with. All from the same manufacturer. My first drone, I haven't flown for about three years and when I download the new app, The phone wouldn't connect to drone camera. I ordered a second one and the same issue happened again. No iphone connection with drone camera. Same issue with the present one that I have. Funny thing is most of the reviews are 3 to 5 star ratting's. At this point I think I'll send it back and try a different brand.

1. How about disclosing the name of the drone in question?
2. You said : "My first drone, I haven't flown for about three years and when I download the new app, The phone wouldn't connect to drone camera."
Why download a "new app"? What's wrong with the original app associated with that drone? Didn't you keep that original app stored in the phone?

Have you tried installing UDIGPS app from Play Store?

I logged on to UDIC.Com > selected Drone heading > found your U59 GPS 4K > One of the illustration pictures mentioned UDIGPS app.

Yes. That is the recommended app. On my phone, the app opens fine. Has all the function icons and has mountain range in the background. Never could go to camera view. I got the propellers spinning and pushed the video button the remote. Still nothing. I've moved on. Purchased a different brand and in the middle of returning u59.

Then why you use Go.Flying instead of UDIGPS?

At the risk of being redundant, this is what I do on connecting my phone with the drone camera via the drone app..........
Turn on the drone ( U59 in this case)> turn on the phone > go to WiFi section from the phone settings> find the appropriate app ( UDIGPS in this case) and select and connect it > then exit WiFi section > scroll and find UDIGPS app > open it. I should now see image of the surroundings from the drone's camera transmitted onto the phone.

Were you doing the same as I described above?

Not exactly. I followed the sequence from the instructions. I'll try your way tomorrow and let you know. I appreciate the time you're spending helping a rookie.

It's weird. I tried your sequence for camera connect and it worked. Now, sometimes it works and sometimes, no. I can live with that. Thanks alot!

You are welcome.
No reason why it will not work ALL the time. Unless you either have faulty batteries or you miss a step.
I have numerous camera drones and they never fail to connect.

It's probably me and learning curve. Oh, can't forget Murphy. Btw, It works now. I still have learner's permit, because I managed to get it stuck on the roof upside down. We think we have a raccoon living in the attic and I was using the drone to see point of entry. Places that I can't see from the ground. With this drone thing going on, I feel an addiction coming on.

To troubleshoot the issue with your iPhone not receiving an image from your drone's camera, start by ensuring that your iPhone is properly connected to the drone's Wi-Fi network. Sometimes the connection can drop unexpectedly, so it may be helpful to disconnect and then reconnect to the Wi-Fi network to ensure a stable connection.

Next, verify that the drone's camera is powered on and functioning correctly. You can do this by checking the camera's indicator lights, if available, or by using any other method provided by the manufacturer to confirm the camera is operational.

It’s important to ensure that the app you are using on your iPhone is up-to-date. Outdated software can cause compatibility issues, so check the App Store for any available updates to the app.

Restarting both the iPhone and the drone can often resolve connectivity issues. Power off both devices, wait for a few moments, and then power them back on. This can reset the connection and help establish a proper link between your iPhone and the camera.

If the problem persists, check for any firmware updates for the drone and its camera. Manufacturers often release updates to improve performance and fix bugs. Refer to the drone’s manual or the manufacturer’s website for instructions on how to update the firmware.

Review the app’s settings on your iPhone to ensure the camera feed is enabled and properly configured. Sometimes, specific settings can prevent the camera feed from displaying correctly.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, consider consulting the drone's manual or the manufacturer’s support resources for additional troubleshooting tips. There may be specific procedures or settings unique to your drone model that need to be addressed.
