No camera view on Phone

First Drone so went with a cheap one. 1080P Falcon by7 Cheerwing, dual camera and few other goodies. Got the HFun app installed on the phone, a used Phoenix 4 with no phone service. Bad reader I guess. Phone connects to the Drone WiFi with no problem. I don't want to try to control the drone with my camera. Way to many buttons I don't understand. The drone fly's with the controller fine. Issue is I am not getting any camera photos on my phone. How do the cameras turn on on the Drone? Figured they came on when the power was turned on. Vague instructions say dual switchable cameras. (Not much help there). Button on the controller labeled "Take Photo" but there is no photo to take. Checked You Tube adn the last replay was "<<< you will have a camera view on your phone if you did the all the steeps and such". So what are all the steps and such are they talking about ?? Any one out there that can give this old very low tech guy some advise? (Beside go back to a crank phone ;))

chieffan, I can only show you the "general ways" because (1) I don't owe a 1080 Falcon and (2) most likely we don 't use the same phone model.
You will have to look for the option that is comparable to what I mention.

1. Turn on your drone.
2. Open you phone > go to Settings > then Wifi option > make sure it is connected to the drone.
3. From your phone, locate the app that is used for the drone (HFun ?)> open it > you should now be able to see what the drone sees from your phone.
4. Turn on your controller > bind it with the drone.
5. Insert the phone to the controller's phone holder.
6. You can now use the controller to fly the drone while at the same time see what the drone sees from your phone.

Hope that helps. Please post back for the result.

I thank you very much for the fast reply. I understand about not having the same items I have as there are hundreds of them out there. Going dow and go through your suggested steps again. Some where I am doing something I should not be doing, or ?? Will let you know.

OK. got the WiFi connected w/ no problem, turned the app on. Got a black screen with "Have Fun" in scrip on it. Only buttons on the screen are the home, a square to the right and a dot to the left. Paired the controller with the Drone and started a flight. Nothing on the phone. Pressed the camera button on the controller, got a beep but no change on the phone. Could it be that the house WiFi is so much stronger than the drone that it overpowers the drone and cancels it out and drop back to the house WiFi? The drone and camera are only about 6 feet apart in the basement but right under the house WiFi. Going to lock out the house WiFi and/or delete it as it probably won't be used anyway. Trying my patience now.

I did some googling for you.
Yes. The HFun is meant for your drone.
Here is a you-tube link about your drone.....
Looks like the problem is your phone.

I downloaded two HFun files onto my home computer. One file they said was an installer file for the actual app. Transfer them to the Drone SD card by the usb cable. Then did the install on the phone. If I can figure out how to stop the phone from accessing my home WiFi and dedicate the phone to the Drone I think it may work. Will keep you posted. Thanks much for the help.

Watched the video twice and will again. Very informative and the best I have seen off YouTube. I finally got the phone to not automatically log on to the home WiFi. Asks for the passwrod and can hit cancel and it is gone. Now to try it with the Drone this morning. Inside very short flights as it is raining.

Hi David. My have it sorted out but have a couple pieces to put together to get the whole picture. Found out it is a discontinued model and parts are N/L listed for the Falcon. Issue with the listing also, one place says 2 batteries and another said one. Also supposed to be a storage case which wasn't there. Trying to get them to sell me a non operating drone with battery as a parts drone. Will see how far I get with that. It is actually pretty tough. Crashed it into a wall, got tangled in electrical lines in the basement, few other obsticals that popped up in its way but so far survived them all.

" Trying to get them to sell me a non operating drone with battery as a parts drone."

Who "them" ? You are dealing with a private seller? Be careful.
Have you tried looking for your batteries from Amazon.com. (You are from the States. Yes?)
The following is the link for 3.7v 1100mah lipo batteries from Amazon.com. Make sure you pick the the one applicable to your drone.
Your drone uses 3.7v 1100 mah battery. Yes?

"Them" be Fantastics as their trade name. On eBay so have a lot better leverage with them there. Don't do private sales on the net unles I know them. Yes, in the States SW Iowa to be more precise. The batteries for this Drone are in a 'compartment' so to speak and I did not find any contained batteries that would fit this Drone. All for the newer models. Physical size of the battery may be right but there are 4 tiny screws to remove the cover then put back in order for the battery to fit in the Drone. The 3.7v and 550mah or 1100mah is fairly common.

My last idea went out the door as a failure. Drone WiFi connect OK, app came up with black screen and Have Fun on it. Drone flew, pressed the take photos button, nothing showed up on the screen. Landed the drone, checked the phone, WiFi was still connected and the app was still up. Going to watch the video again as something is not right. Probably me and am missing something as I really don't know what I am doing.

Is that your battery ?

I asked and they said their battery would not work in my aircraft. So the search continues. Fresh install of the software, need to see what happens next.
