Newbie Needs Help & Advice

I have an AI Freedom II Drone. I've actually only tried it twice. The first time I hung it in a tree & it fell from a branch. It didn't fall far, but far enough to knock a light lens cover to come off. The second time I tried to fly it, it keeps trying to lift off on the left side, but the right side lags behind. Nothing is cracked, broken, or missing. I know there are trim buttons, but as the title states, I'm a true newbie. Would someone with a whole lot more experience please give me a hand in getting it equalized so I can practice my hovering. I'm trying to follow the instructions on practicing before going in full force. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Probably just needs to be recalibrated. Move both sticks down and to the right until you get a rapid flashing LED. Move sticks back to center and wait for light to go solid. It should fly level now.

Hi all, I just managed to get my syma x8g ready for the first time and also this is my first time with a quad.
Unfortunately sth is wrong with it or with me probably.
I can't get it off the ground at all. I push the left stick all the way up but it won't get off the ground no matter what. I turn the right stick left&right and it responds, BUT when I turn it right in 3seconds the two motor stops completely......
So, do I have a faulty quad or is it so hard to fly a quad at your 40s for the first time in your life?
Am I missing sth? I visited read the whole thread for the updated manua many times and done everything said.

PS I visited tested both modes and headless mode also but nothing different happened.

My first thought is your battery is not charged properly. How are you charging it? Also, do you have a multimeter to check the voltage level of the battery?

Battery was charged as indicated in the manual, i charged it with the charger provided until the green light disappeared -after 3,5 hours plugged in.
Having said that i realized that all 4 led lights started flashing which meant that battery is not good right? i don't have a multimeter but it was taken out of the box...
But... i didn't manage to fly it at all and battery is not good already?

Can it be a movement of both sticks at the bottom right -as indicated in most videos - or it should be sth more complicate?

Second attempt today, same result.
No way the drone will lift off the ground. Fresh battery, full throttle but.....
I start to thing of a faulty quad (although I am also newbie) since it doesn'the fly at all.

Yes, that’s the procedure to calibrate. Did you actually go through all the steps? Insert charged battery and set quad on level surface. Turn on quad and then turn on transmitter. Bind the transmitter to quad (left stick all the way and then all the way back). To calibrate pull both sticks down and to the right at the same time. The quad lights should blink for a few seconds. It’s now ready to fly. If you perform these steps and you’re still not getting off the ground you have other issues (possibly the props as suggested above).

I finally did everything right... I haden't seen the prop's letters correctly so a B instead of A did the job.
After putting everything right, i had a test- unfortunately on a concrete surface so it was n't possible to do much.
As a new guy, i was impressed by the power and speed of SYMA, but also with how easy you can break it when landing.
Nice one, i m looking forward for my next flight, outside in a park with a second battery because i think i will need it.
Some issues i need help.

1. headless mode didn't seem to work and -freshers like me-do need it, since there is no "come home" button.
2. how can i determine the orientation of the drone in order to bring it back-using right stick down?

Thanx

Just my opinion, but I don't think anyone should get used to using headless mode (or as I call it RTS - return to somewhere) and in fact, most don't work properly anyway. Just keep flying, most of us have that aha moment where all of a sudden you're not thinking anymore, everything just happens naturally.

Hi mate some guys fit yellow or orange blades to the front so you know which way round it is
I have a yellow ball on mine

How can I find out which way is front &rear of the drone? Only with the use of it? I own a SYMA X8G and I don't use the camera yet.
Anyone know whether SYMA X8G can broadcast video wireless in an android device?
