Newb Problems, First Build

This is my first quad build using a kit that I thought would be a simple plug and play system after attaching my receiver, not the case. I have a power distribution board, not sure what brand, a Flip32 control board, and a FrSky X8R. I am pretty much lost on what I need to do next in order to connect everything and get this quad running.

Is there anyone else using this control board and receiver combo that can help me out? Perhaps provide pictures of the connections and wiring required? I appreciate the help and will try to upload some pics for reference.

So after some more searching and testing, I have come to another problem. Ive got power to the power management board and to the control board. I have the receiver and speed controls hooked up. Receiver has been bound. Ran CleanFlight and configured. I still do not have any control and no movement when input from controller.
Using:
-Taranis Plus
-X8R Reciever
-Flip32 board with CleanFlight

Here are a couple of pics of my set up. First is no power, second is powered up. Am I missing something?

Looks like you are using SBus.
How to Connect SBUS and Naze32
As we have already explained in the SBUS/PPM comparison article, SBUS signal on Frsky Receivers have a inverted output signal for some reason (literally just upside down), and some flight controllers just wouldn’t recognise/understand it.

There are many ways to invert the signal, such as using a signal inverter which you can build yourself.

Note that only Rev5 or older board need to do this hack, Rev6 supports SBUS without converter.
Maybe part of the problem.

This a Flip32 manual someone wrote up.

Ok fellas, thanks for all the assistance. I now have another issue. Here is whats happening:
-When connected to CleanFlight:
-Receiver shows connected and shows input from controller
-Motors spool up on motor check feature
-Calibration complete.
-Disconnect from CleanFlight:
-Controller indicates bound to receiver with green light
-When control sticks are moved, motors do nothing

What am I missing here?

Someone else was just having this problem the other day, make sure in clean flight you don't have it set to always disarmed. You'll have to pick a way to arm it, it gives you options. (Yaw left or right, aileron left or right, etc.)

EDIT**
I have a terrible habit of not paying attention right after I wake up, this is how it works in open pilot, I'm sure it's something similar in clean flight though

Try going into your Taranis receiver and make sure you have programmed the channels i.e. throttle etc so it matches the channels in clean flight.

On the Taranis, scroll through to page 6 on the menu, this is where you assign the channels

Also checked to make sure your quad is armed. Just be careful if you have props attached.
