Newb looking for some hints

Hey,

Recently joined the forum, as i mentioned in the welcome thread i paddle with my dogs on the weekends and considered the possibility of recording it just for the funs, i've also been interested in drones for a while now, both racing and aerial photography/video. But because i'm going to be paddling on saltwater the idea of getting an expensive drone is a bit out of the way, i was looking into buy a cheap drone that could carry a action camera and then i saw some guy on youtube with a race drone having fun with a action camera attached to it and now i have mixed feelings, i wonder if i would be able to get a good recording with a race drone hovering the paddle boards?

I was considering the following to carry a action camera:

SJRC F11 PRO
tarantula x6

I also love researching and building stuff, but i'm not sure if the end product would the same has buying one for the same price of the build.
 
For your purpose, a racing drone would not be a good idea. It would be like buying a Formula 1 car for driving around the city. I've had a couple that you listed and honestly you're not going to get very good video and not very long flight time. My suggestion? MJX Bugs 3

I had look into MJX Bugs 3 as well but thought the b5w or bayangtoys x16 would handle the extra weight better. What about building one, would i be able to build a better one for around the same price?
